Lemon Zinger Scones
A new citrus twist on an old favourite that has a serious burst of lemon. Fresh, fast, easy, affordable and foolproof every time.
We like it because it never fails and is so easy the kids can make it. And it freezes well - make a double batch for those 'ladies-a-plate' times.

Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 350ml bottle cream
- Juice of 3 lemons plus water to make 300 ml liquid
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- Zest of 3 lemons
- 2 Tbsp sugar (optional)
Directions
- Mix lemon/water with Baking Powder.
- Mix all dry ingredients.
- Add wet ingredients to dry and mix.
- The dough will be fairly soft.
- Place dough on greased tray.
- Bake in preheated oven at 200 deg for about 10 minutes.
- Serve with lemon honey and whipped cream if desired, or drizzle with a little lemon and dust with icing sugar.
