Crispy Chocolate Cookie.
The ultimate chocolate cookie. Dark, rich, melt-in-the-mouth indulgence. Suitable for morning tea or coffee or on its own. Lock it away from the kids!

Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 ml) butter
- 350 gm chocolate buttons
- 2 cups (500 ml) flour
- 1 1/2 cup (375 ml) soft brown sugar
- pinch of salt
- 250 gm chopped cooking dark chocolate
- 2 1/2 cups (625 ml) rolled oats
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking soda
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla essence
- 1 cup (250 ml) chopped nuts
Directions
- Place oats in a blender and chop to a fine powder.
- Cream the butter and sugar.
- Add eggs, vanilla, flour, oats, salt, baking powder and baking soda and mix well.
- Add all the chocolate and nuts
- Press into a cookie tray.
- Bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celcius.
- Cut into squares while still hot.
