Chocoholics Beware! Triple Layer Toblerone & Oreo Cheesecake


It takes a while to make but is worth it when you really want to impress for special occasions or just need to indulge your friends sweet tooths.

If you don't have the time to go all out just choose one layer, they will still thank you!

Ingredients

  • BASE:
  • 2 packets Oreo biscuits, icing removed & crumbed
  • 100g butter, melted
  • LAYER ONE:
  • 1/2 cup castor sugar
  • 500g cream cheese, room temperature
  • 200g milk chocolate tobelerone
  • 1/2 cup thickened cream (heaped)
  • 1/4 tsp natural vanilla essence
  • LAYER TWO:
  • 1/2 cup castor sugar
  • 500g cream cheese, room temperature
  • 200g dark chocolate tobelerone
  • 1/2 cup thickened cream (heaped)
  • 1/4 tsp natural vanilla essence
  • LAYER THREE:
  • 1/2 cup castor sugar
  • 500g cream cheese, room temperature
  • 200g white chocolate tobelerone
  • 1/2 cup thickened cream (heaped)
  • 1/4 tsp natural vanilla essence

    Directions

    1. Remove the icing from the Oreo biscuits & grind to a fine crumb with a food processor (NOTE: Vanilla Super Wines can be substituted if preferred).
    2. Melt the butter & add to the crumb slowly as needed to combine before pressing into the base of a greased springform pan, set in the fridge.
    3. LAYER ONE -
    4. Whip castor sugar & cream cheese with an electric beater until completely smooth.
    5. Melt milk chocolate gently over a saucepan of water (do not allow water to touch the bowl) & fold into the sugar/cheese mix.
    6. When combined fold in the thickened cream, vanilla & continue to mix well to ensure there are no lumps.
    7. Turn out onto the biscuit base & chill for 2-3 hours until set.
    8. LAYER TWO -
    9. When the first layer is set whip castor sugar & cream cheese with an electric beater until completely smooth.
    10. Melt dark chocolate gently over a saucepan of water (do not allow water to touch the bowl) & fold into the sugar/cheese mix.
    11. When combined fold in the thickened cream, vanilla & continue to mix well to ensure there are no lumps.
    12. Turn out onto the first layer & chill for 2-3 hours until set.
    13. LAYER THREE -
    14. When the second layer is set whip castor sugar & cream cheese with an electric beater until completely smooth.
    15. Melt white chocolate gently over a saucepan of water (do not allow water to touch the bowl) & fold into the sugar/cheese mix.
    16. When combined fold in the thickened cream, vanilla & continue to mix well to ensure there are no lumps.
    17. Turn out onto the second layer & chill overnight to allow flavours to settle.
