Easy Potato Bake


Scrumpious lunch dish loved by all found in an old recipe book

Ingredients

  • 2 bacon rashers
  • 1 onion
  • i cup of grated cheese
  • enough milk to make a thick cheese sauce
  • 4 to 5 medium potatoes
  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Pack of potato chips

Directions

  1. Dice potatoes and cook gently until just cooked with Bay leaves added to water
  2. Drain and put into ovenware dish, discard Bay leaves
  3. Gently fry chopped onion and bacon and sprinkle over potatoes in dish
  4. Make cheese sauce and pour over potatoes in dish gently stir to mix
  5. Grate a little more cheese just enough to barely cover potatoes in dish and sprinkle over.
  6. Crunch up chips while still in packet(easier and no mess) and sprinkle over top of meal in dish.
  7. Bake mod oven about 30 mins or until top crisp and heated through.
