Hawaiian Toast


Great when you need something in a hurry to stifle those anguished 'what's to eat I'm starving ?" demands.
A quick and tasty special breakfast, brunch or late night supper.
This is one of those handy sure to please everybody kind of recipes.

Ingredients

  • 100 ml cream
  • 30 ml butter
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • Half a capsicum deseeded and chopped finely
  • 4 ripe tomotoes which have been peeled and finely chopped
  • salt & pepper to taste.
  • 1 can pineapple pieces drained and chopped
  • 2 thick slices of Ham, cubed
  • 250 gr grated tasty cheese
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 4 slices super thick toast bread.
  • Chopped parsley to garnish

Directions

  1. Melt butter in small pan and saute onion & capsicum until soft
  2. Add tomatoes and season. Add cream, simmer getnly till thick.
  3. Add pineapple and ham, simmer gently for 5 minutes
  4. Add cheese and eggs and mix
  5. Heat gently until cheese has melted and egg is cooked.
  6. Toast the bread until golden and top each slice with 1/4 of the prepared and cooked mixture.
  7. sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and serve at once.
