Dons Chinese Mince


When feeling low on energy this recipe will recharge your batteries. The mix of vegetables of your choice and NZ Beef mince will set you right.

This recipe originated on my Wifes Grandmothers Farm many many years ago in Galatea.

This is most definately a winner because:\

1: Easy to prepare.
2: Good for your health.
3: Kids will love it.

Ingredients

  • 500 grms NZ Beef mince.
  • 1 tbls oil.
  • 2 pkts chicken noodle soup mix.
  • 2 chopped onions.
  • 1/2 shredded cabbage.
  • 2 tsp curry powder (or to taste).
  • 2 cups of veges of choice.
  • 4 tbls soy sauce.
  • 4 tbls tomatoe sauce.
  • salt and pepper to taste.
  • 2 Cups cooked white rice.

Directions

  1. In a large fry pan add mince and oil.
  2. Brown on a medium heat.
  3. Add salt and pepper and cover with water.
  4. Add remaining ingredients.
  5. Simmer while stirring frequently.
  6. Do not thicken, but let juices evaporate with lid removed until at desired consistency.
  7. Serve over rice.
