Pear & Ham Stroganoff
This is a very unusual combination and I first tasted this at a friends house about 18 years ago. Very simple and looks and taste wonderful. Has never failed to impress.

Ingredients
- 820g Pear Halves/Quarters (drained)
- 455g Ham Steaks (Ham steak per person)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 onions sliced
- Small clove of garlic crushed
- 170g mushrooms sliced
- 1 green pepper cut into strips
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
Directions
- Cut ham steaks into strips. Set aside. Melt butter in pan, add onions and garlic and fry until golden. Add ham, mushrooms, green pepper and cook briskly for 3 mins. Season and pour in sour cream and pears. Cook for 15 mins stirring occasionally.
- Nice served with crispy noodles and a salad
