Chicken Comfort Food.(The Kind Our Great Grannies Made But Had No Electric.)
This ia an old favourite of ours. I dreamit about it one night, and had to make it the next day. Its awsume on a cold winters night. It reminds you of the cooking that great gramnda made.Try it you will love it and its so easy.

Ingredients
- 2 x Chicken breasts.
- 2 x rasher of streaky bacon.
- 3 x Chicken gravey packets.
- 2 carrotts.
- 2 x large potatoes.
- 2 x White kumera.
- 2 x orange Kumera.
- ¼ piece of pumpkin.
- 1/4 red onion.
- Small amount of ovile oil.
- 1 x chicken oxo cube.
- 2 x Parsnips.
Directions
- Cut up chicken breasts.
- Cut up bacon.
- Cut up onion.
- Place all three with oil in a frypan, brown.
- Put into a SLOW cooker,
- Peel and cut up all the vegetables, into bite sizes.
- put all into the slow cooker.
- Mix all packets of chicken graveymix with chicken oxo cube in a jug fill with water. stir. Add to the slow cooker.
- Cook on high untill is cooked, (about 4 -5 HJours.)
- Thicken with corn flour if needed.
- Serve on toast, with bread or a green vegetable, I like peas with ours.
- You cant bet this on a cold night. Enjoy.
