Nz - French Onion Soup
Incase of any cold snaps this is a real gem as a light lunch. It's got French in the title but I'm a kiwi! and it's my secret recipe. Well was my secret recipe.

Ingredients
- 25g Butter
- 1 large white onion,sliced
- 1 small glass of dry white wine
- 1 Tbsp white flour
- 1 Litre cold water
- 1 litre hot vegetable or chicken stock
Directions
- Pre heat oven to 180
- Melt the butter in a round dish, over medium to high heat
- add onions and let them cook until lightly brown
- Once the wine is almost evaporated, lower the heat add flour, stirring constantly. Cook for a minute or two.
- Add the water and bring to the boil. Lower the heat and pour in the hot stock, simmer for half an hour.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Prepare garnish of croutons, but from a bread stick.
- Enjoy!
