Pork And Tamarillo Casserole


A delicious, hearty casserole, with the tang of Tamarillos. Tender and Tasty.

Ingredients

  • 500gm pork Pieces
  • 1 Large Onion, sliced
  • 3-4 Tamarillo(tree tomatoes)
  • Flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons soya sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  2. Combine flour and salt. Dust pork pieces
  3. Brown Pork pieces in Frypan
  4. remove to Casserole dish.
  5. Using same frypan, saute onion
  6. layer onion on top of pork pieces in casserole dish
  7. Peel and slice Tamarillo into casserole dish.
  8. combine soya sauce, brown sugar and water and add to frypan,. Bring to boil. Pour over pork pieces.
  9. Cover casserole dish and bake in preheated oven for 1 1/4 hours.
  10. This is beautiful, served on a bed of rice with a green vegetable or salad.
