Lemonade Scones


Easy scones which always work out with no fuss.
My nana told me about this years ago as my scones used to turn out like rocks but not anymore.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups self raising flour
  • 1 cup thickened cream (beat ordinary cream till thick)
  • 1 375ml can of lemonade (about 1 1/2 cups)

Directions

  1. Combine cream with lemonade.
  2. Fold this through sifted self-raising flour.
  3. Mix to stiff dough. (Dont overmix)
  4. Cut into rounds.
  5. Place on a greased tray.
  6. Bake at 180 degrees celcius for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Serve the scones with jam and cream.
Serves Cooking Time Prep Time
5 15 to 20 minutes. 10 minutes
