Glazed Meat Loaf

This is a very old recipe passed down by the female cooks in our family. I have dressed it up for a dinner party, served it as a mid week family meal and cold it is loved by the males in the family in a sandwich at lunch time.
I can't remember anyone who has not liked this meat loaf

Ingredients

  • 450grams premium steak mince
  • 450grams good sausage meat
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1./2 cup full cream milk
  • salt & pepper.
  • Glace:
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons worcester sauce
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar

Directions

  1. Mix first 8 ingredients together. Press into a large greased loaf tin. Bake for 1 hour in a moderate oven. Halfway through cooking mix glaze ingredients togther and baste loaf with glaze. Pour remainder of glaze frequently over loaf while cooking. Serve hot or cold
