Best Seafood Batter


Beautiful sweet golden batter perfect for any seafood.
My Dad passed down the secert I thought it was far to good to keep to myself.
Nice and easy to whip up at the bach, camping or just at home.
There's nothing better than the perfect batter on a fresh fish fillet or oyster straight form the shell.
You really need to try this batter its a taste sensation.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Egg
  • Lemonade (approx 3/4 cup)
  • Pinch of Salt and Pepper

Directions

  1. Beat egg in a bowl.
  2. Sift in Flour, Baking Powder, Salt and Pepper stir through egg.
  3. Then slowly add Lemonade mixing gently to make a thick batter.
  4. Dip fish, scallops, oyster or mussels into batter.
  5. Shallow or deep fry in oil until batter is golden.
  6. Drain well.
